About Us

The goal of South Jersey Select Lacrosse is to offer student athletes throughout Southern New Jersey the opportunity to improve their skills, awareness, and athleticism. This will be accomplished thru clinics, camps, and summer showcase tournaments. Though Moorestown based, and originally part of the Moorestown Lacrosse Club, SJS evolved out of the need to fill a void for all South Jersey girls interested in furthering their lacrosse skills and representing South Jersey at a national level. We are committed to improving each athlete’s level of play by bringing the best players together and enlisting the services of the areas’ best coaches and current collegiate stars. We are dedicated to teaching skills and fostering the player’s understanding of game strategies while having fun in a very competitive environment.

Once a student athlete becomes a member of a SJS tournament team, it is their responsibility to commit themselves to making every practice, of which there will be approximatedly 10 2 hour practices to prepare for the summer tournament program, and approximately 2-3 practices for the fall program.

All teams will practice with one another regardless of age, to maintain a level of continuity and consistency within the program. The high school sports seasons and the player’s' respective school practices will take precedence over SJS practices. Players who are unable to commit to required activities or exhibit questionable or inappropriate behavior detrimental to the team environment will be replaced by an alternate.
SJS teams attend 3-4 top competitive tournaments each summer. Tournaments competed at in the past include in Champions Cup, All American Showcase, Capital Cup, Lax For The Cure, Lax By The Sea, and The Rise.

In addition, in the fall, current junior and sophomore teams will attend 2-3 top national recruiting tournaments such as the Mid Atlantic, Rivalry Challenge, T3 Fall Faceoff and President's Cup tournaments. All players are responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
SJS coaches are always available to assist our high school athletes in their recruiting efforts, answering questions and helping to contact collegiate coaches. All club members have access to individual skill, speed or strength sessions through their coaches.
