Please note that we go to great lengths to set a practice schedule that will have the least amount of conflicts as possible for the majority of our school districts. Unfortunately, there are events/programs/schedules that come up after we have scheduled our practices that end up causing a significant conflict. If and only if this conflict ends up affecting the majority of players and therefore ultimately, the quality of practice for those teams, we have no choice to make changes.
We want all of our families to know that we understand how hard all of you work in your own towns and schools and other programs to accommodate the SJS program and that we greatly appreciate this commitment level. We do not make these changes in haste or without care or concern for all of you trying so hard to work with us.

CAPTAINU Recruiting/Club National |
|
Most of you are receiving emails now from 'Club National and CaptainU' encouraging you to sign up for a contract recruiting service where you have to pay them a monthly fee to help you with your recruiting. Please note that SJS is not endorsing this product, nor did we supply them with your email addresses. As always, please contact Mr. Knobloch with any questions you have or help you may need during your recruiting process. If you have any further questions or concerns about this, please contact KC or Suzanne but once again, we are not endorsing any SJS players paying a monthly fee to CAPTAIN U recruiting services. They got your email addresses from your Club National registration, not from us. |

LAX FOR THE CURE |
|
All of you should be receiving regular emails from Jessica Shoulberg, director of Lax For The Cure, encouraging donations and fundraising for breast cancer through this tournament.
We know many of our families have already donated to the cause but would like to give our players an extra incentive to get involved. We will award the player who has individually raised the most money for Lax For The Cure (car washes, baby sitting, lemonade stand...) a brand new SJS jacket!!! Go out and have fun raising money for this great cause!

South Jersey Select Lacrosse Mission |
Post Office Box 129
Moorestown, NJ 08057 |
| |

|
|
The goal of South Jersey Select Lacrosse is to offer student athletes throughout Southern New Jersey the opportunity to improve their skills, awareness, and athleticism. This will be accomplished thru clinics, camps, and summer showcase tournaments. Though Moorestown based, and originally part of the Moorestown Lacrosse Club, SJSL evolved out of the need to fill a void for all South Jersey girls interested in furthering their lacrosse skills and representing South Jersey at a national level. We are committed to improving each athletes level of play by bringing the best players together and enlisting the services of the areas best coaches and current collegiate stars. We are dedicated to teaching skills and fostering the players understanding of game strategies while having fun in a very competitive environment.
Once a student athlete becomes a member of a SJSL tournament team, it is their responsibility to commit themselves to making every practice, of which there will be a maximum of 20 hours. All teams will practice with one another regardless of age, to maintain a level of continuity and consistency within the program. The high school sports season and the players respective school practices will take precedence over SJSL practices. Players that are unable to commit to required activities or exhibit questionable or inappropriate behavior detrimental to the team environment will be replaced by an alternate.
SJSL teams will attend 3-4 top competitive tournaments each summer. Tournaments competed at in the past include in Champions Cup, Capital Cup, Lax For The Cure, Lax By The Sea, National Draw and All Star Express. All players will be responsible for travel and hotel costs. SJSL coaches will be available to assist the rising juniors and seniors in their efforts to contact collegiate coaches. All club members have access to individual skill, speed or strength sessions through their coaches. |
